The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a red alert for fog, indicating a significant drop in horizontal visibility that could worsen at times. This alert is in effect from 6.15am to 8.30am on July 20. Abu Dhabi Police are urging drivers to be cautious due to the reduced visibility and to follow the dynamically changing speed limits posted on signs.
Additionally, the NCM has issued a yellow alert from 4.30am to 8.30am for certain areas, warning of potential fog formation and further visibility reduction. The forecast predicts fair to partly cloudy weather, with low clouds expected over the eastern coast in the morning and possible convective cloud development in the east by afternoon.
Temperatures are expected to range from 31℃ to 42℃ in Abu Dhabi and from 32℃ to 41℃ in Dubai. Humidity levels will rise during the night and into Sunday morning in some coastal regions, with a chance of mist formation. Winds will be light to moderate, occasionally strengthening, and the sea conditions will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in the Oman Sea.
