After years of speculation and rumors, Rockstar Games has finally confirmed that Red Dead Redemption and its Undead Nightmare expansion are coming to PC. Both the game and the expansion will be available on October 29. Double Eleven is collaborating with Rockstar Games to bring Red Dead Redemption to PC, featuring several PC-specific enhancements. These include native 4K visuals at up to 144hz, support for ultrawide and super ultrawide monitors, as well as HDR10 and Nvidia DLSS 3.7 and AMD FSR 3.0 upscaling. Additionally, Nvidia DLSS frame generation is supported, and players can customize settings such as draw distances and shadow quality.

Preorder details will be announced later this week, with the game available on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and Rockstar's own PC store. While Red Dead Redemption II arrived on PC a year after its console debut, the original Red Dead Redemption, initially released for Xbox 360 and PS3, is only now making its PC debut. The game also came to the Nintendo Switch in August 2023. Double Eleven, an independent game developer, was responsible for the Switch and PS4 ports of Red Dead Redemption and has worked on other ports including Grounded, Fallout 76, Rust, Minecraft Dungeons, and Limbo.

The minimum and recommended PC system requirements for Red Dead Redemption have been posted on Steam, though they are subject to change. Meanwhile, Rockstar Games is currently developing Grand Theft Auto VI, slated for release in Fall 2025.
