The registration for the eagerly awaited 29th International Conference and Exhibition, 'Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan — 2024' (OGT 2024), is now formally open. This prestigious event, organized by the State Concerns “Turkmengas” and “Turkmennebit” in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, is slated for October 23-25 in Ashgabat. Over 100 delegates from 20 countries have already signed up to attend OGT 2024. The conference aims to enhance regional discussions on the sustainable growth of the energy sector and to increase avenues for direct foreign investment in Turkmenistan’s oil and gas industry.

Participation and side business meetings during the conference will inform potential investors about upcoming investment projects in Turkmenistan’s oil and gas sector, the future phases of the Galkynysh gas field, optimizing production at established fields, offshore developments in the Turkmen part of the Caspian Sea, renewable energy, and environmental considerations in hydrocarbon resource development. The Conference and Exhibition will serve as a prime forum for exploring recent advancements in the global energy sector, regional and international trends impacting Turkmenistan's energy sector, energy diplomacy issues, and significant regional projects like the TAPI pipeline construction.

The business program will feature sessions on various topics: a plenary session will address new trends in the global energy market and prospects for cooperative ventures; presentations on energy transition commodities highlighting key trends and investment opportunities will also be included. Special emphasis will be given to technological innovation and human capital's role in the energy transition, particularly natural gas as a low-carbon fuel. Specific sessions will focus on environmental aspects in hydrocarbon development, aiming to decrease methane and CO2 emissions and expedite the commercialization of natural resources through new alternative energy projects.

The organizers anticipate a record turnout of leading international energy company executives, heads of international organizations, and top financial institutions at OGT 2024, who will exchange insights and discuss trends affecting Turkmenistan's oil and gas sector. Last year's conference attracted over 700 delegates, with more than 400 coming from abroad representing nearly 50 countries. Visa support will be provided to all registered participants. Registration for physical attendance closes on October 13. For more detailed participation information, visit the event website: www.ogt-turkmenistan.com
