Lakshmi also spoke about Bal's profound affection for his models and how he provided them with numerous opportunities. "His models were his stars. He was incredibly proud of them. I learned so much from him throughout my career. I've collaborated with him on numerous campaigns and shows," she shared. One of Lakshmi's most cherished memories is walking for Bal at his legendary show set against the backdrop of the Qutub Minar.
"I will never forget that show; it was surreal. He showcased his exquisite collection with the iconic singer Shubha Mudgal performing live. It remains my favorite show to this day," the model recalled. Lakshmi last walked the ramp for Rohit Bal in October 2024 at the grand finale of Lakme Fashion Week. Sadly, it marked Bal's final appearance on the fashion runway.
"We were all emotional during that show (as Gudda made a comeback after a health scare). It was special. Despite his health issues, he showed up and made a grand comeback," Lakshmi, with a heavy heart, bid farewell to Bal. Lakshmi also posted an emotional note for Rohit Bal on her Instagram account.
"Heartbroken Forever Gudda .... You will always be in my heart as the sweetest memory from these 24 years of fashion. No one like you. Rest in peace my darling Gudds, until we meet again, in a different realm @rohitbalofficial," she wrote. Film stars also paid their respects.
