Richter Belmont is set for a challenging journey in the second season of Castlevania: Nocturne. As the heir to the Belmont clan, he finds himself outnumbered and on the run after the events of Season 1. However, the arrival of Dracula's half-human son, Alucard, could shift the tide in Richter's favor, as hinted in the new trailer for Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2.

James Callis, known for his role in Battlestar Galactica, reprises his role as Alucard from Netflix's previous Castlevania animated series. It's been 300 years since Alucard last teamed up with a Belmont, and his return couldn't come at a worse time for Richter and his closest ally, Maria Renard. The self-proclaimed vampire messiah, Erzsebet Bathory, has transformed Maria's mother, Tera, into one of her undead followers, and Tera appears to be fully embracing her new role as a vampire, using her magical powers for evil.

The trailer also features the return of Richter's grandfather, Juste Belmont, who engages in battle against Tera. Despite the potential unity among Richter, Maria, and their small group, Bathory's growing power threatens to unleash chaos on Earth. While Alucard is a formidable ally, his abilities might not be enough to counter Bathory's dark influence.

Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2 is set to premiere on Netflix on January 16, 2025. Earlier this year, the series received its own line of Funko Pops, and the first season of Nocturne is already available on Blu-ray. Additionally, Richter Belmont was featured in the Vampire Survivors' Ode To Castlevania DLC pack, which is currently available.
