A day after a roof at New Delhi's airport collapsed due to heavy rainfall, a section of the canopy at Rajkot airport in Gujarat, western India, also gave way, as reported by ANI on Saturday.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation explained that the canopy failed while undergoing maintenance to remove accumulated water. The collapse occurred in the passenger pickup and drop area, but fortunately, no injuries were reported. A comprehensive report on the incident is being requested.

This incident follows a similar event on Friday, where a roof collapse at the main airport in the Indian capital resulted in one fatality and led to the cancellation of flights from one terminal. A part of the canopy in the departures area of Delhi airport's terminal 1 fell at 5am, as stated in a social media post by the airport.
