Rosie O'Donnell has spoken out following her eldest daughter's third arrest in three months. Chelsea O'Donnell, 27, was taken into custody in Wisconsin's Marinette County on November 18 on charges including two felony counts of methamphetamine possession, one felony count of narcotic drug possession, and two felony counts of bail jumping, according to People.

The outlet also reported that Chelsea faces four misdemeanor charges for resisting or obstructing a police officer, possession of an illegally obtained prescription, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Rosie promptly addressed her daughter's arrest and drug addiction on Instagram, expressing hope that Chelsea will receive the help she needs.

"So yes, this is true," the 62-year-old actress, known for "A League of Her Own," captioned an Instagram screenshot of a reporter's email asking for comment on Chelsea's latest arrest. "After being bailed out by her birth mother, Chelsea was arrested again and is facing many charges related to her drug addiction. We all hope she is able to get the help she needs to turn her life around."

Chelsea's latest arrest marks her third time behind bars in just three months. She was previously taken into custody on September 10 and October 11 on charges related to drug possession and felony child neglect, as reported by People. On September 24, Chelsea posted a $2,000 bond and was released from Marinette County Jail, but she was arrested again the following month and booked into Oconto County Jail.

Chelsea faces felony counts of methamphetamine possession, narcotic drug possession, and bail jumping, as well as misdemeanor counts of resisting or obstructing an officer and possession of drug paraphernalia—charges similar to those from her latest arrest. She pleaded not guilty to charges related to her September 10 arrest, and an arraignment has been scheduled for December 11 over her November 18 arrest. She is due in court on January 27, 2025.

Rosie broke her silence in October following Chelsea's second arrest, posting a photo of Chelsea holding a newborn baby on social media with the caption, "Chelsea is in the news today—this is a photo from a better time. Sadly, this is not new for our family. Chelsea has struggled with drug addiction for a decade—we are all hopeful she will find her way out of this deadly disease."

Rosie adopted Chelsea with her ex-wife Kelli Carpenter as a baby following her 1997 birth. The former couple also share three other adopted children: sons Parker and Blake and daughter Vivienne. Rosie has another daughter, Dakota, with her second wife, Michelle Rounds. If you or someone you know is struggling with substance abuse, please contact the SAMHSA helpline at 1-800-662-HELP.
