Rossinavi has unveiled its latest groundbreaking project, the 42.8-metre hybrid-electric catamaran, Seawolf X, which has left the shipyard in Viareggio, Italy, and is currently anchored off the Greek island of Tinos, as reported by BOATPro. The exterior design of this vessel marks a significant collaboration with Fulvio De Simoni Yacht Design, their first joint venture since the 49.1-metre Aurora in 2017, and also Rossinavi's inaugural multihull endeavor. The Seawolf X features three distinct operational modes: it can operate entirely on electric power during single-day voyages, 90% electric on multi-day trips, and maintain 80% electric capability on transatlantic journeys. Additionally, when at anchor, it can enter a hibernation mode to minimize energy consumption, with excess power potentially fed back to the dock or a private residence. The catamaran can fully recharge at shore power stations in just five hours and is capable of supplying sufficient energy to fully power a villa. Rossinavi has integrated an onboard artificial intelligence system, Rossinavi AI, designed to optimize vessel operations, anticipate guest needs, and encourage eco-friendly crew behaviors. The AI also manages the battery levels to ensure they remain between 20% and 80%. The sleek, sports car-like exterior of the Seawolf X, designed to challenge conventional catamaran aesthetics, incorporates solar panels and lightweight structural solutions, including an aesthetically pleasing anchor system that meets weight requirements. The interior, crafted by New York-based Meyer Davis, harmonizes with the yacht's advanced technology, offering a blend of relaxed luxury and sustainability, inspired by natural elements like the sun, sea, and sand. Key leisure features include a central cockpit pool, a spacious sundeck with lounging and living areas, and a bow area that conceals a pool and a convertible home theater. The accommodation comprises four cabins that can host up to 10 guests. Federico Rossi, COO of Rossinavi, expressed his pride and satisfaction at the launch of Seawolf X, highlighting its innovative power and propulsion technologies as a milestone in next-generation yachting. The vessel also bears the BlUE label, reflecting Rossinavi's commitment to sustainable design, utilizing photovoltaic technology to store solar energy and create a bioluminescent effect at night, inspired by phytoplankton. The catamaran's dimensions keep it under the 500GT limit, with a beam of 13.8 metres and a maximum draught of two metres.
