A Russian missile attack claimed the lives of 10 people and injured 44 others in Ukraine's Black Sea port of Odesa on Monday, according to local governor Oleh Kiper and national police. Kiper reported on the Telegram messenger that four children were among the injured, with three individuals in critical condition. President Volodymyr Zelenskiy stated on Telegram that a Russian ballistic missile had struck a residential area, causing damage to an apartment building, a university, and an administrative building. 'These are not random strikes — these are show strikes. After calls and meetings with Putin, after all the false gossip in the media about supposedly ‘refraining’ from strikes. Russia is showing what it is really interested in: only war,' he said.
National police confirmed that seven officers, a medic, and two residents were killed, with 14 officers among the injured. Russia launched its most extensive overnight missile assault on Ukraine in nearly three months on Sunday, resulting in seven fatalities and further straining an already compromised energy system. Subsequently, a Russian missile hit a residential building in the Sumy region, killing 11, including two children, and injuring 89.
