SailGP, renowned for its thrilling water races, has announced its 2024/2025 season schedule, introducing fresh competitions in Brazil, Germany, Switzerland, and Auckland, alongside revisiting Great Britain and New York. Spanning a 12-month timeframe from November 2024 to November 2025, this season marks the league's broadest yet, encompassing 14 events across five continents. The season kicks off and concludes in the UAE, starting with the Emirates Dubai Sail Grand Prix on November 23-24, 2024, and culminating with the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Sail Grand Prix Season Grand Final on November 29-30, 2025.
The championship will venture to the Southern Hemisphere for consecutive events in New Zealand (January 18-19, 2025) and Australia (February 8-9, 2025). Following impressive attendances in previous seasons, the ITM New Zealand Sail Grand Prix will debut in Auckland, known for its fervent racing enthusiasts. Subsequently, the action moves to Sydney Harbor for SailGP's sixth appearance. SailGP will grace Los Angeles for a blend of Hollywood glamour and high-octane entertainment on March 15-16, 2025, before heading to San Francisco Bay on March 22-23, 2025, with the Golden Gate Bridge as a stunning backdrop.
The newly introduced Mubadala Brazil SailGP Team will host its first home event at the Brazil Sail Grand Prix on May 3-4, 2025, with further city details to be announced. The league will then return to New York for the Mubadala New York Sail Grand Prix on June 7-8, 2025. The European segment of the season includes the highly awaited Great Britain Sail Grand Prix on July 19-20, 2025, a third Taranto visit for the ROCKWOOL Italy Sail Grand Prix on September 6-7, 2025, and a fourth Spain Sail Grand Prix in Andalucía - Cádiz on October 4-5, 2025. New events in Germany and Geneva, Switzerland, scheduled for August 16-17 and September 20-21, 2025 respectively, will allow fans to support their teams on home waters for the first time.
The season will conclude with an additional Middle Eastern event on November 7-8, 2025, followed by the Grand Final in Abu Dhabi, where national pride, personal honor, and the sport's biggest prize await.
