Salik Company PJSC, the exclusive toll gate operator in Dubai, has extended its services beyond the emirate through a partnership with private parking operator Parkonic, which manages 107 locations. The agreement, signed on Thursday, stipulates that Parkonic will promote Salik as the preferred payment method for its customers at all current and future locations, leveraging Salik’s ability to offer a seamless and convenient payment solution for paid parking.
Parkonic will remit a percentage of its parking revenue generated via the Salik eWallet to Salik. The partnership will encompass over 135,000 parking spaces across the UAE, commencing in the first quarter of 2025.
“Our strategic alliance with Parkonic will enable advanced parking payment solutions across approximately 135,000 spaces and 107 locations in the UAE, marking Salik’s inaugural expansion beyond Dubai,” stated Salik CEO Ibrahim Sultan Al Haddad.
“This collaboration further propels the growth of Salik’s ancillary revenues by utilizing our distinctive technology platform beyond the core tolling business. It also underscores Salik’s dedication to enhancing its parking payment solutions as a pivotal contributor to ancillary revenue growth,” he added.
