Bollywood superstar Salman Khan unveiled the first look of the highly-anticipated docuseries Angry Young Men: The Salim-Javed Story on Saturday. Khan shared the poster on his Instagram account, expressing his enthusiasm about presenting this significant story to global audiences. Accompanying the poster, he wrote, "Salim Khan, Javed Akhtar in and as Angry Young Men" #AngryYoungMenOnPrime, New Series, Aug 20.
The docuseries will guide viewers through the journey of Salim-Javed, the iconic screenwriting pair who transformed Hindi cinema in the 1970s through their compelling narratives. They scripted some of Bollywood's most iconic blockbusters of that time, including Sholay, Zanjeer, Deewaar, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, and Don. Other notable films include Seeta Aur Geeta, Trishul, Shaan, Shakti, and Kala Patthar.
Angry Young Men is executive produced by Salman Khan, along with Salma Khan, Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, and Reema Kagti. This series marks the directorial debut of Namrata Rao and includes personal accounts from Salim-Javed and perspectives from prominent figures in Indian cinema. Angry Young Men will be exclusively available on Amazon Prime Video on August 20.
