The globally acclaimed Salon Retromobile, the esteemed classic car exhibition held annually in Paris, France, is set to debut a second edition in North America starting from 2025. Dubbed Rétromobile USA, this event will be the second annual iteration of the show, which has been hosted at the iconic Expo Portes de Versailles since 1976 and is managed by the leading global events company Comexposium. Salon Rétromobile has evolved into an indispensable celebration of vintage and collector cars. For nearly five decades, it has united major automotive manufacturers with classic car exhibitors, collectors, sellers, auction houses, event organizers, restorers, coachbuilders, components, and automobilia vendors, as well as industry luminaries and professionals, attracting over 130,000 visitors during its five-day run. Each year, it highlights selected manufacturers, racing accomplishments, and automotive innovations, paying tribute to the heritage and legacy of the automotive industry. Now, in collaboration with the duPont REGISTRY Group, this new landmark exhibition will replicate the extraordinary atmosphere of the European event, with a distinct American flair, beginning in 2025. It will showcase a diverse array of vintage and rare collector cars spanning over a century of automotive history, illustrating the historical and cultural importance of both the exquisite machinery and the rich tapestry of manufacturing, innovation, and design. Additionally, it will explore how the automobile industry has shaped global culture and society.
"When you witness the fervor and zeal that Rétromobile ignites in Paris among European classic car aficionados, it becomes clear that the same passion and spirit are alive and well in the United States," remarked Gérard Neveu, CEO of duPont REGISTRY Events. "Thus, bringing Rétromobile to America is a natural progression, extending this remarkable show to the largest audience and the biggest market for vintage and collector cars. Similar to the annual event in Paris, Rétromobile USA will captivate a wide range of exhibitors, collectors, and visitors, celebrating automotive design, craftsmanship, and history on a grand scale." Romain Grabowski, Comexposium's director of Rétromobile Paris, added: "We are delighted to announce this project in the United States, marking a new chapter in the history of the Rétromobile show, which has been organized by enthusiasts for enthusiasts since 1976. We are confident that in duPont REGISTRY Group, we have found the perfect partner, one with extensive expertise and reach across the United States' automotive landscape. Comexposium is excited to tailor the Rétromobile experience to the largest market in the world. We look forward to welcoming our American collector friends who have long been regulars at the Parisian event and meeting new American fans!" The location and date of Rétromobile USA will be disclosed at a later time.
