Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo has unveiled the inaugural vessel in its 40.7-metre series, the SD132, christening her as Andiamo. This milestone signifies the largest composite yacht constructed by the yard, yet the SD132 is designed to 'carry forward the tradition' of its smaller counterparts. The model boasts an impressive volume of 420GT, setting it apart from other yachts of similar size, as highlighted by the shipyard.

One of the standout features of the SD132 is the seamless integration of the beach club area with the aft cockpit. When the lateral terraces are opened, they provide guests with a spacious 70 square metres of walkable surface, enhancing the unobstructed ocean views from the cockpit. The exterior and interior design of the yacht are the work of long-time collaborator Zuccon International Project.

Accommodation on board includes four guest cabins on the lower deck and a lavish owner's suite, measuring 55 square metres, located forward on the main deck. The interiors are characterized by an earthy color palette and soft textures, designed to 'heighten sensory engagement,' including a stone-like cement finish in the bathroom and owner's suite. Another notable feature is the 85 square metre fly deck, which houses a mini pool with a sunbathing system, connecting the forward living area to the main deck. Additionally, a side garage with transverse launching capability can store a tender up to 6.2 metres, while an extra hangar can accommodate water toys or a rescue boat.

The exceptional market reception has been underscored by the five contracts already secured prior to the launch, reflecting the significant interest and appreciation this yacht is garnering among owners, according to Tommaso Vincenzi, president of Sanlorenzo's Yacht Business Unit. The SD132 offers a top speed of 17 knots and a cruising range of 3,200 nautical miles, powered by twin CAT or MAN engines. According to BOATPro, Sanlorenzo currently has 50 units either on order or in active construction at its facilities in La Spezia, Italy.
