Saudi Arabia has introduced the 'One Million Saudi in AI' initiative, with the goal of equipping 1 million citizens with artificial intelligence (AI) skills, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on Friday.
The initiative was launched by Minister of Education Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan and Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) President Abdullah bin Sharaf Alghamdi, in partnership with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, during the third Global AI Summit (GAIN Summit 2024) held at the King Abdulaziz International Convention Centre in Riyadh.
This national initiative, the largest in the Kingdom, aims to empower a million Saudis to engage with a world increasingly driven by AI, fostering a future that enhances human potential. It will enable a million male and female citizens to grasp AI, its applications, ethics, and to acquire the skills and tools necessary for effectively and safely integrating AI into business and daily life.
