Saudi officials detained 12 Yemeni citizens for trying to illegally transport 266kg of khat across the Al-Rabwah border in the Asir Region. The State news agency SPA reported the seizure of the items and their handover to the authorities on May 24th.
The government has urged both citizens and residents to report any information they have about drug smuggling or sales to the General Directorate of Narcotic Control. Reports can be filed by calling 911 for Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and 999 for other regions. Additionally, they can send an email to 995@gdnc.gov.sa. The authorities have assured that all reports will be handled with confidentiality.
