Sony's multiplayer shooter Concord, which faced an unfortunate fate, is the subject of an episode in Prime Video's video game anthology series Secret Level. Given that the game has been discontinued, this might be one of the last opportunities for fans to learn about Concord. However, Tim Miller, the showrunner of Secret Level, never contemplated removing the episode following the game's cancellation, and Amazon never requested such a change.
"It never came up with us, I mean, Amazon never suggested it, and we didn't either because why? I mean, we have games in the mix that are no longer like Unreal Tournament," Miller told GamesRadar. "This one the course to not being out there was different, of course, but the end result is we have an interesting story with a beautiful piece of animation that people worked very hard to produce."

"The fact that the game is no longer around is unfortunate because we liked the developers, they were nice people, and they were trying to do the best they could," he said. "But it doesn't affect our desire to put this thing out in the world that we worked very hard on and so did they, and a lot of artists."
Executive producer Dave Wilson mentioned that including Concord in the show was a decision made years ago. Like Miller, Wilson expressed immense pride in the Concord episode, hinting that the episode is themed around joy. "If there was an episode that was filled with joy, that one was great and it's oddly sad on the other side of it," Wilson said.
Prior to this, Miller discussed how the Concord episode of Secret Level showcases "the potential of this world and the characters." "If it's the remaining vestige of that product, I hope the developers feel that it's in some way worthy, just a little bit, of the blood, sweat, and tears they put into it," he said.
Secret Level is an anthology series akin to Miller's previous show, Love, Death & Robots. The series comprises 15 episodes, including installments based on franchises like Mega Man, Pac-Man, The Outer Worlds, and PlayStation in general. The series premieres December 10 on Prime Video. The episodes feature the voices of Keanu Reeves, Arnold and Patrick Schwarzenegger, Gabriel Luna, Claudia Doumit, and Merle Dandridge, among others.
Concord was launched in August for PlayStation and PC but failed to attract an audience, leading Sony to make the drastic decision to shut down the game and offer refunds. Its developer, Firewalk, has since closed. Moving forward, Sony's management has stated that new procedures have been implemented to prevent such an occurrence in the future.
