A security officer in Kuwait has been arrested on charges of corruption and bribery, after being caught red-handed accepting bribes in exchange for arresting Asians on false charges of alcohol trafficking, leading to their deportation.
The officer, whose identity has not been revealed, was apprehended by the General Department of Criminal Investigation’s 'Criminal Investigation and Licensing Department' as part of the Ministry of Interior's ongoing efforts to combat corruption and maintain security.
Following the arrest, the officer has been handed over to the Public Prosecution for legal proceedings. The relevant authorities are taking necessary actions against the accused, emphasizing that no one, regardless of their position, is above the law.
In a separate incident, a man was charged with forging sick leave documents in exchange for money, in collaboration with accomplices abroad. This crime was uncovered through security monitoring and resulted in the arrest of the suspect, who has been referred to the appropriate authorities for legal action.
