Shabab Al Ahli emerged victorious in a thrilling 5-4 encounter against Al Wahda in the UAE Pro League on Sunday night. The high-scoring match extended Shabab Al Ahli's winning streak to three games, accumulating nine points and temporarily placing them at the top of the table. Al Wahda, despite their valiant efforts, remain on six points following the heart-stopping contest.

The game began explosively with Omar Khribin scoring for Al Wahda within just two minutes and 22 seconds, marking the second-fastest goal in their history, only surpassed by Ismaeil Matar’s 2:16 goal in 2008. Shabab Al Ahli quickly retaliated, turning the tide with two swift goals. Sardar Azmoun equalized in the seventh minute through a rapid counter-attack, and Yuri Cesar put Shabab Al Ahli ahead 2-1 by the 13th minute.

Khribin leveled the score again in the 33rd minute with a powerful shot from inside the box, having now scored Al Wahda’s last three goals against Shabab Al Ahli in the UAE Pro League. Just before halftime, Azmoun struck again for Shabab Al Ahli, giving them the lead once more with a low-driven shot in stoppage time (45+3).

Al Wahda continued to press, and Khribin completed his hat trick in the 81st minute, making it 3-3. The match seemed destined for an exciting conclusion. However, Shabab Al Ahli secured their victory in the closing stages, with substitute Munas Dabbur scoring two crucial goals in the 87th and 90th minutes, establishing a commanding 5-3 lead. Lucas Pimenta scored a fourth goal for Al Wahda deep into stoppage time (90+4), but it was not enough to deny Shabab Al Ahli the win in one of the most entertaining games of the season.

In another thrilling match, Khorfakkan secured a 2-1 victory over Al Orooba at Dibba Stadium on Sunday. Khorfakkan took an early lead in the 12th minute with Jonatan Viera converting a penalty. Al Orooba fought back and equalized just before halftime, as Mohammed Reza scored a stunning free-kick during stoppage time, marking the 100th goal by an Iranian player in the league’s history. Despite Al Orooba’s pressure in the second half, Khorfakkan sealed the win in the 92nd minute with a last-gasp goal from Mattheus De Andrade.

Al Nasr's perfect start under Alfred Schreuder came to an end as Al Wasl fought back to win the Bur Dubai Derby with a 2-1 victory at Zabeel Stadium on Saturday.
