The Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) has revealed that the 43rd edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair will take place from November 6 to 17. This prestigious event, drawing local, Arab, and international publishing houses, will feature writers, authors, thinkers, and creatives from diverse fields. They will engage in sessions that delve into literature, culture, and thought, sharing their unique literary and intellectual journeys.
The authority disclosed that this year's fair will honor the Kingdom of Morocco as the guest of honor. A plethora of cultural and artistic activities are planned, including interactive workshops and book signing sessions. These events will bring readers face-to-face with their favorite authors, alongside artistic, theatrical, and global touring performances. This rich tapestry of cultural and creative diversity will also include cultural forums that foster dialogue and knowledge exchange among attendees and participants.
"Today, the urgency to underscore the pivotal role of books in fostering human communication between nations and peoples is more pronounced than ever. The Sharjah International Book Fair thus stands as a dynamic testament, co-authored by thousands of writers, authors, and artists from around the world, here in Sharjah. It aims to refocus the world's attention on the undeniable truth that all the accomplishments civilizations strive for start with a book, and every noble value ingrained in the conscience of peoples is encapsulated in a book," stated Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Book Authority.
