Authorities in Sharjah announced on Sunday that residents can now conveniently pay their utility bills via the digital platform, 'Digital Sharjah'. The service has been updated with a new, advanced user interface aimed at enhancing the user experience. Customers of Sharjah Electricity Water & Gas Authority (Sewa) can easily check the amounts due on their accounts, whether linked to their Emirates ID or added manually.

Moreover, customers have the capability to view current and previous bills as PDF documents, with access to up to 10 previous bills, and can easily file complaints or objections regarding these bills. The initiative by Sharjah Digital Department (SDD) reflects the department's continuous efforts to refine and evolve platform services, ensuring consistent efficiency and rapid service delivery. Through ongoing enhancements, SDD aims to overhaul the user experience, adding a layer of value and convenience with each update.

Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director General of Sharjah Digital Department, emphasized the department's dedication to providing comprehensive services through its digital platform, designed to meet user needs while ensuring the highest level of efficiency. This initiative is aimed at making the digital experience more distinguished, convenient, and reliable for the community. Sheikh Saud also noted that the development of the Sewa bill payment service was informed by user suggestions and feedback gathered through various communication channels.

Additionally, the department regularly posts instructional videos in both Arabic and English on its social media accounts to guide users through the steps required to use its services on the platform. SDD offers over 60 services from 19 government and private entities, covering essential sectors in the emirate. Users have a variety of payment options, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, direct debit cards, credit cards, and the Tahseel Digital Payment System. Furthermore, the ability to download the platform's mobile application on iOS and Android devices provides users with the flexibility to conduct transactions easily and securely.
