Baraa Murad, a mother and family counselor, expressed her gratitude to the Sharjah authorities for launching the Holy Quran TV channel, the first of its kind in the UAE. This new platform allows her children to deepen their understanding of the holy book. "I make sure my children listen to the Holy Quran for a specific duration before they watch their preferred shows," Murad shared with Khaleej Times. She noted that since introducing her children to Sharjah's Quran TV channel, their focus has been undivided, thanks to the calming background that aids in their concentration on the recitations.
Murad, who has been following the channel since its launch on August 16, can access the broadcast via Channel 579 on the Etisalat E-life device or through the Marasi app. She extended her thanks to Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah, and all those involved in the initiative. Incorporating Quranic programs into her daily routine has helped her memorize the verses more effectively.
The new 24/7 channel offers a variety of programs, including Holy Quran recitation, guides to Quranic sciences, and teachings from the Quran. Fahd Saeed from Sharjah praised the channel as a fundamental source for enhancing Islamic values, with programs that encourage regular Quran reading and provide detailed explanations of the verses. He believes it will be an essential resource for new Muslims and those interested in learning about Islam, integrating it into daily life.
Abdullah Khalfan Al Baloushi, from Ras Al Khaimah Radio, commended the initiative as vital in today's world, highlighting its role in promoting spiritual values and deepening religious understanding. He noted that programs like Quran recitation and Quranic sciences will benefit current and future generations. The channel, he added, will contribute significantly to spreading correct religious awareness and fostering global community communication through the common language of the Holy Quran.
Another Sharjah resident, Ammena Abdulla, highlighted the channel's positive impact on daily life by promoting peace and safety. She described the establishment of a specialized media platform in the religious domain as a commendable and beneficial step.
