As thousands of students prepare to return to school on August 26, parents in Sharjah can enjoy discounts of up to 80 percent on school supplies. These discounts extend to apparel, electronic devices, and school bags available in shopping malls, libraries, and stationery stores throughout the emirate. The promotion, which runs until September 1, is organized by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) as part of the Sharjah Summer Promotions. Additionally, students can participate in various entertainment activities and workshops, as well as events where educational supplies will be distributed. From August 23 to 25, 100 school bags and 100 vouchers for school supplies will be distributed to students, parents, and families at 06 Mall. Abdul Aziz Al Shamsi, Assistant Director-General for Communication and Business Sector at SCCI, highlighted that the Back-to-School offers aim to assist families and students in acquiring school supplies and essentials at reduced prices, thereby creating a supportive educational environment for children. Ibrahim Rashid Al Jarwan, Director of the Economic Relations and Marketing Department at SCCI and General Coordinator of Sharjah Summer Promotions, observed that the Back-to-School campaign integrates commercial promotion with effective collaboration among traders, suppliers, libraries, and retail stores participating in the Sharjah Summer Promotions festival. He noted that this initiative also encourages community participation in Sharjah Promotions and ensures that families have access to competitively priced school supplies.
