Sharjah Police are currently investigating a stabbing incident that resulted in the death of a 27-year-old Emirati man in Al Siyouh on Wednesday.
According to a statement, the Sharjah Police operations room received a report at 12:40 am on Thursday about the stabbing. Police patrols, the crime scene investigation team, and National Ambulance services were promptly dispatched to the location. Upon arrival, they found the victim suffering from three stab wounds to his leg. Despite being rushed to the hospital, the victim succumbed to his injuries later.
The perpetrator fled the scene before authorities arrived. However, within 12 hours, Sharjah Police's Criminal Investigation Department identified and arrested two suspects connected to the incident. Initial investigations revealed that a dispute had arisen between the victim and two others, both in their 30s. The altercation escalated, leading one of the brothers to stab the victim in the leg with a sharp object.
During interrogation, the assailant admitted to the crime. Legal proceedings are underway, and the case has been forwarded to the Public Prosecution for further investigation. Sharjah Police have urged the community to resolve disputes peacefully and avoid violence. The authority emphasized the importance of using legal channels to settle conflicts and encouraged residents to report any disputes or suspicious activities to help maintain security and stability in society.
