A resident of Sharjah lost their life during a violent altercation that took place in an industrial zone within the emirate on Wednesday, as reported by the authorities.
Preliminary investigations by the Sharjah Police indicated that the dispute originated from a debt amounting to Dh600. It was disclosed by the police that seven Asian expatriates were apprehended for their involvement in assaulting three brothers with weapons such as sticks and knives, resulting in one fatality and several injuries.
The confrontation commenced as a vociferous verbal disagreement, which rapidly intensified into a lethal physical confrontation, as detailed in a report by the Arabic daily Al Khaleej. The injured parties were promptly transported to a medical facility, while the perpetrators escaped the scene.
Despite the immediate departure of the suspects, the Sharjah Police managed to pinpoint and apprehend them within a span of two hours following the incident. The seven detainees admitted to their role in the assault, acknowledging that their actions were driven by a financial dispute, according to the Al Khaleej report.
The Sharjah Police emphasized the importance of adhering to legal channels in resolving disputes, advising that any unresolved conflicts should be brought to the attention of the authorities.
