All newly registered children in Sharjah nurseries will be guaranteed seats, as announced by the emirate's Ruler. To achieve this, new nurseries will be constructed and existing capacities expanded.
During July and August, 446 additional seats will be provided, according to Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. The registration in government nurseries in Sharjah has reached 1,781 applicants, but only 1,335 seats are currently available. Sheikh Dr Sultan confirmed that the additional seats will be created by building new nurseries within the next two months.
This announcement was made through the “Direct Line” programme on Sharjah Radio and Television. The Sharjah Ruler emphasized the dual importance of nurseries for both safety and education. He noted, “The child in Sharjah nurseries learns from the beginning of his enrollment a very sophisticated curriculum, which we did not create alone; rather, partners from Europe work with us.” Sheikh Dr Sultan reassured parents, saying, “Do not be afraid, your child will get a seat.”
