Sharjah is poised to develop and implement standardized tests for its private schools, according to the emirate's education regulator, who announced this on Wednesday following a partnership with an assessment solutions provider. The Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) will collaborate with Diglossia to exchange expertise, information, and reports as part of this initiative. The two entities have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), outlining the action plan designed to meet the emirate's education objectives.
SPEA will engage with licensed schools, ensuring that all required data is shared with Diglossia to facilitate the rollout of standardized tests. The authority will also encourage schools to participate in these tests, which are expected to elevate the quality of education in these institutions. In turn, Diglossia will provide SPEA with data and insights related to exam results and an analysis of standardized tests conducted by the schools. The assessment solutions provider will ensure the integrity of the shared data and help develop strategies to enhance school performance based on the test outcomes.
This project is viewed as a crucial step in improving the quality of education in the emirate and enhancing the capabilities of students in private schools.
