Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, along with the Ruler of Dubai, reviewed the advancements at Terminal 3 of Dubai International (DXB). The airport experienced a notable rise in passenger numbers during the initial quarter of 2024, reaching 23 million, marking an 8.4% increase from the previous year's corresponding period. During his tour, the Ruler observed the daily operations across various airport departments. Sheikh Mohammed also examined the protocols designed to aid travelers in completing their travel formalities and other services available at the airport.

Additionally, Sheikh Mohammed personally inspected the daily operations in various sections of the airport and inquired about the amenities provided for both departing and arriving passengers. He was assured of the facilities offered by the airport authorities for these passengers. Sheikh Mohammed expressed his satisfaction with the developments at Terminal 3, including its facilities, departments, and equipment, stating, "Dubai International Airport serves as a cultural gateway that mirrors our future ambitions. We are continuously striving to enhance the traveler experience and deliver top-tier excellence in infrastructure, services, and cutting-edge technology to ensure traveler comfort and safety."

Sheikh Mohammed was joined on his visit by Lieutenant General Talal Humaid Belhoul, Director General of the State Security Department in Dubai; Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Administration of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, and several senior officials.

According to Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed, DXB's outstanding performance and sustained record growth in international passenger numbers have solidified its reputation for world-class service and quality in the aviation and travel industry. "This underscores the ambitious objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, aimed at doubling Dubai's economic size and positioning it among the top three urban economies globally," added Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed.
