Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, along with the Ruler of Dubai, recently reviewed the ongoing developments at Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport (DXB). During his tour, he observed the daily operations across various airport departments and examined the protocols designed to facilitate passenger travel procedures and other airport services.
Sheikh Mohammed personally inspected the operational activities in different areas of the airport and inquired about the amenities provided for both departing and arriving passengers. The airport management assured him of the high-quality facilities available for passengers.
A video of the inspection, shared by the Dubai Media Office on X, shows the significant rise in passenger numbers during the first quarter of 2024, reaching 23 million, an 8.4% increase from the previous year. Sheikh Mohammed commended the advancements in Terminal 3, emphasizing that Dubai International Airport serves as a cultural gateway reflecting Dubai's future ambitions.
He expressed, "We are committed to enhancing the traveler experience by delivering top-tier infrastructure, services, and cutting-edge technology to ensure comfort and safety." Sheikh Mohammed also thanked the airport staff for their diligent work, aligning with Dubai's goal to be a premier travel destination adhering to global standards.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed highlighted DXB's exceptional performance and continuous growth, making it synonymous with excellence in aviation and travel. He noted this achievement aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, aiming to double Dubai's economic size and rank it among the top three global cities.
Accompanying Sheikh Mohammed on his visit were Lieutenant General Talal Humaid Belhoul, Director General of the State Security Department in Dubai, Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Administration of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, and several other senior officials.
