Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser, explored avenues for collaboration in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and advanced technology during separate meetings with tech magnates Jeff Bezos, Chairman and Founder of Amazon, and Elon Musk of Tesla. The session with Musk delved into recent advancements in AI and strategies to bolster joint efforts. Meanwhile, the discussion with Bezos highlighted the pivotal role of international alliances in attaining technological supremacy and shaping the future economy.
"The UAE is dedicated to realizing a bold vision to position itself as a frontrunner in the forthcoming era of AI, emphasizing investments in human capital and diverse collaborations," Sheikh Tahnoon shared on X.AI pact. On September 23, Sheikh Tahnoon and Jake Sullivan, US National Security Advisor, endorsed The Common Principles for Cooperation on AI at the White House. Both parties aim to closely cooperate to advance "safe, secure, and trustworthy AI, align regulatory frameworks to enhance innovation ecosystems, promote ethical AI research and development, expand and deepen cooperation in AI protection and cybersecurity, facilitate opportunities for trusted trade and investment, nurture talent development and exchange, promote clean energy for the AI future, and support AI for sustainable development in developing countries," as stated by a WAM release.
