Shelby America has been enhancing Ford’s most powerful pickup truck for over a decade, and now it introduces new packages for the latest F-150 Raptor. Neither of these upgrades comes cheap, but both significantly boost the truck’s performance and capabilities, with options available for both the V-6 and V-8 powered Raptor and Raptor R models.
The 2024 Shelby Baja Raptor, powered by a V-6 twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost, delivers an impressive 550 horsepower. This model features a one-piece heat shield, a performance intake tube, an open-air intake with a high-flow filter, and an aluminum intercooler. Meanwhile, the Raptor R variant, equipped with the Mustang GT500’s supercharged 5.2-liter V-8, boasts over 900 hp. Shelby enhances this with a 3.8-liter Whipple supercharger and a Borla exhaust. Both variants benefit from a BDS suspension lift kit, 18-inch Shelby Raptor Flow forged wheels, 37-inch tires, and additional cooling.
Shelby also provides several exterior enhancements, including a Baja Raptor hood with functional vents, a custom grille with LED lights, and extensive branding. The steel bumpers offer protection and utility, featuring recovery points, two 10.0-inch LED driving lights, a 30.0-inch LED light bar, and vents. The rear bumper also includes two square LEDs. The bed features a chase rack system capable of mounting two full-size spare tires, though this leaves limited space for other items.
Inside, Shelby adds its signature branding to the embroidered floor mats and full-leather seat re-covers with red accents. Billet racing pedals and a serialized dash plaque complete the cabin upgrades. The V-6 package starts at $51,995, while the V-8 Raptor R upgrade is priced at $54,995. These prices are in addition to the Raptor’s base MSRP, which for the 2024 F-150 Raptor starts at $80,435, including the $1,995 destination charge. The Raptor R package adds another $31,925. Shelby notes that these trucks are available in limited quantities, though it did not specify the exact production numbers.
