China's Sheng Lihao secured his second gold medal at the Paris Olympics on Monday, triumphing in the men's 10-metre air rifle competition. Meanwhile, South Korea's Ban Hyo-jin claimed the women's gold. The 19-year-old Chinese shooter set a new Olympic record with a total score of 252.2, outpacing Sweden's Victor Lindgren, who earned the silver with 251.4 points. Croatia's Miran Maricic took the bronze medal. Sheng had previously won gold in the mixed team event alongside a teammate on Saturday. In the women's competition, Ban's final shaky performance allowed China's Huang Yuting to tie at 251.8, leading to a shoot-off. Ban secured the gold with a shot of 10.4, narrowly beating Huang's 10.3. Huang's silver was her second medal of the Games, having also won gold in the mixed team event with Sheng on Saturday. Switzerland's Audrey Gogniat won the bronze.
