Kannada film and television actress Shobitha Shivanna's final rites were conducted in her hometown of Sakleshpura, Karnataka on Tuesday.

The actress was discovered deceased in her apartment in Hyderabad on Sunday. According to the police, Shivanna took her own life at her residence in Kondapur, which is under the jurisdiction of the Gachibowli police station. Following a post-mortem examination at Osmania Hospital in Hyderabad, her body was released to her family.

Shivanna was a prominent figure in Kannada cinema and television. She starred in films such as Eradondla Mooru, ATM: Attempt to Murder, Ondh Kathe Hella, Jackpot, and Vandana. On television, she appeared in popular serials like Gaalipata, Mangala Gowri, Kogile, Brahmagantu, and Krishna Rukmini.

Her uncle, Buchi Reddy, expressed profound sorrow over her passing. "My family is deeply grieved by Sobitha's death. She was like a daughter to me. We have been in complete despair since yesterday and are unable to communicate with anyone. Only God knows why she made such a decision; we are not aware...," he stated.
