Bollywood star Shraddha Kapoor gained prominence with her compelling performance in Aashiqui 2. On Monday, Kapoor participated in the NDTV World Summit 2024, where she discussed her career journey. She also reflected on the affection she received for her roles in Aashiqui 2 and Stree.
When asked by the anchor if Aashiqui 3 was in the works, Kapoor replied, "Not that I am aware of. But if the producers considered a sequel, I'm sure they would come up with something very intriguing. Aashiqui 2 brought me immense love and recognition. The film truly transformed my career." She continued, "If they do plan something, it would undoubtedly be fantastic. And if it presents a challenging and unique opportunity for me as an actor, I would be open to it."
Released on April 26, 2013, the musical directed by Mohit Suri made a lasting impact on Bollywood cinema with its touching narrative and heartfelt songs. Aditya Roy Kapur starred alongside Kapoor.
Meanwhile, Kapoor is enjoying the success of Stree 2, which also starred RajKummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi, and Abhishek Banerjee. At the Summit, Kapoor shared that she received a heartfelt congratulatory message from Tabu following the success of Stree 2.
"Tabu ma'am called me... She had the most wonderful things to say over the phone. She even sent me a personalized perfume with 'Stree' written on it. She made me feel empowered and proud of my achievements," Kapoor recounted.
