The ease of obtaining a driving license is not the only improvement; replacing a lost or damaged license has also become straightforward. Here is a guide on how to apply for a replacement:

Eligibility: If you are a resident of Dubai and your driving license has been lost or damaged, you may qualify for this service.

Requirements: To apply for a replacement, you only need to present your Emirates ID.

Service fees: If you are under 21 years old, the fee is Dh100. For those 21 years old or older, the fee is Dh300. Additionally, all applicants must pay Dh20 or more for knowledge and innovation fees.

Validity: The new license will be valid for the remaining period of your lost or damaged permit.

How to apply: You can apply through the RTA website by providing your Emirates ID, driver's license details, or traffic file number. Alternatively, you can use the RTA app or the Mahboub Chatbot on the RTA website. Self-service machines are also available for those who prefer not to use digital platforms.

Once your application is approved, you will receive a temporary driving license via email while waiting for your new license. You can collect your new driver's license from self-service machines or customer happiness centers in Deira or Al Barsha. Additionally, you can opt to have your new license delivered to you, with various delivery options available depending on your urgency.
