An aircraft en route from Riyadh to Pakistan started emitting smoke during its landing at Peshawar International Airport on July 11.
Saudia, in a released statement, confirmed that the plane was successfully stopped and that 'relevant authorities were informed'. The smoke was observed originating from one of the aircraft's tires. Both passengers and cabin crew were safely evacuated via the emergency slide, according to the statement.
The aircraft is currently under technical assessment by experts, which involves repairs, thorough inspections, and subsequent testing.
