Over a decade after its initial release, Snowpiercer is finally getting its first 4K Blu-ray release. This special edition comes with a collectible steelbook case featuring brand-new cover art. Preorders are now available on Amazon, with the release scheduled for January 14, 2025. You can secure your copy for just $35.

Directed by Bong Joon-Ho and featuring an ensemble cast including Tilda Swinton, Ed Harris, Song Kang-Ho, Jamie Bell, Octavia Spencer, Go Ah-Sung, and John Hurt, the film received widespread critical acclaim upon its debut. Adapted from the French graphic novel Le Transperceneige by Jacques Lob, the movie later inspired a TV series in 2020, which ran for several seasons.

For those interested in the original source material, a bundle of the Snowpiercer graphic novels is available on Amazon. This bundle includes all three books in hardcover format and three exclusive art cards for $60.22 (originally $80).

Snowpiercer marked Bong's first film in English, and the South Korean filmmaker has since produced several critically acclaimed movies. His dark comedy Parasite won the Oscar for Best Picture in 2020, becoming the first non-English language film to achieve this honor. Other notable films by Bong include the crime thrillers Memories of Murder and Mother, the 2006 monster movie The Host, and the sci-fi adventure film Okja. Despite exploring various genres, Bong's films consistently address themes of environmentalism and class conflict.

If you're keen to explore more of Bong's work, several of his movies are available on Amazon, including multiple editions from the Criterion Collection.

In celebration of significant anniversary milestones, several other films are receiving limited-edition 4K Blu-ray releases. These include Christopher Nolan's Interstellar for its 10th anniversary and David Fincher's Seven for its 30th. Both are available for preorder now. Additionally, fans of occult-themed action films can preorder 4K steelbook editions of Constantine and The Last Witch Hunter.
