South Korean opposition parties announced on Wednesday that they had filed a motion to impeach President Yoon Suk Yeol due to his brief declaration of martial law. "We have submitted an urgent impeachment motion," representatives from six opposition parties, including the main Democratic Party, stated during a live press briefing. They further mentioned that they would decide on the timing for a vote, which could potentially take place as early as Friday.
