Spider-Man 2 was already considered one of the top PlayStation 5 games upon its release last year, making it an obvious candidate for early enhancement with the PS5 Pro. The key question for gamers is whether the visual improvements justify the PlayStation 5 Pro's $700 price point. To address this, some of the developers behind Spider-Man 2 have collaborated on a new video showcasing the game's performance on the more robust system.

"When players engage with Marvel Spider-Man 2 on PlayStation 5 Pro, they are experiencing the definitive Spider-Man adventure on the PlayStation 5," stated Insomniac Games' creative director, Bryan Intihar. During the demonstration, Intihar highlighted that players can enjoy Spider-Man swinging through New York at a smooth 60 frames per second without compromising the visual clarity provided by the game's fidelity mode.

Senior art director Jacinda Chew further emphasized that Spider-Man 2 is rich with reflective surfaces, ranging from water to skyscraper windows, and even Spider-Man's goggles. These details, often overlooked amidst the game's fast-paced action, become more noticeable and appreciable on the PS5 Pro.

While this might not sway everyone to upgrade to Sony's mid-generation console, Intihar is content that players have the option to choose how they wish to play Spider-Man 2.

The PlayStation 5 Pro is set to launch on November 7.
