Players who have been diving into Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl on Xbox have encountered some peculiar controller issues, but the developer is actively addressing the problem.
As reported by Windows Central, Stalker 2 sets the controller's gamepad deadzones to zero on Xbox. This means that even the tiniest movement of the controller's stick will cause the player to move within the game. Developer GSC World has acknowledged the issue and is working on a solution, although a specific timeline for the update has not been announced.
Stalker 2 is riddled with technical glitches and bugs, but the developer has pledged to resolve them. Despite these challenges, Stalker 2 has reached a significant milestone by selling over 1 million copies across PC and Xbox, with an additional, unspecified number of players accessing the game through Game Pass. This is a noteworthy accomplishment, especially considering the ongoing Russian invasion that the Ukrainian studio has had to navigate.
In GameSpot's review of Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, it was noted, "Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is rough around the edges, but its ability to create emergent moments in a deadly and captivating world makes this return to the Zone a tense and engaging experience."
