Fifty years ago, Stephen King's stay at the Stanley Hotel sparked the creation of his iconic novel, The Shining. This year, the Stanley Hotel is introducing a new Overnightmare experience, sponsored by Blumhouse and Peacock. From October 18 to October 20, fans eager to visit Estes Park, Colorado, can book a Blumhouse-themed weekend featuring interactive experiences inspired by four of the studio's films: Insidious, The Purge, Freaky, and Happy Death Day.
According to the official description, guests will be greeted with a 'conci-scare-ge' upon check-in for their two-night stay in a double-occupancy room specially re-themed for the event. In addition to 'one scare experience,' the hotel offers photo opportunities, interactive moments, free screenings of Blumhouse films and the upcoming Peacock original series, Teacup, a complimentary welcome dinner, two complimentary drinks per guest, and a $100 credit towards the hotel's in-house restaurant, Brunch & Co.
For those interested in booking this experience, more details are available on the Stanley Hotel's official site. Alternatively, if you're holding out for a Shining-themed event, The Shining Ball will be held at the Stanley Hotel on October 26.
