Starfield has achieved a new player milestone, surpassing 15 million players, as developer Bethesda Game Studios has also rolled out a fresh update that introduces the next land vehicle, a new quest, fixes, and more.
On its launch day, September 7, 2023, Starfield attracted 6 million players, marking the largest launch in Bethesda's history, undoubtedly boosted by Game Pass. By December 2023, the game had amassed 13 million players, and it has since welcomed at least two million more.
"We're delighted that so many of you have joined us on this journey, and we value your feedback. We are continuously seeking ways to enhance your gaming experience," Bethesda stated in a recent news release.
Starfield's November update is now live, featuring performance and stability enhancements, along with the reintroduction of the uncapped frame rate option on Xbox Series X. Moreover, all Starfield Creations released via Bethesda's Verified Creators program will now support achievements. Previously, certain Creations hindered achievements, but this issue has been resolved. However, achievements will not be retroactively unlocked.
Additionally, the latest land vehicle, the Deimog, is now accessible to all players. "Designed for speed and endurance, the Deimog boasts a fully enclosed cabin to protect you as you traverse rugged terrains," Bethesda noted, highlighting its "exceptional handling."
In celebration of the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday in the US, Starfield has introduced "The Perfect Recipe," a new quest where players encounter Harbhajan, a skilled mechanic with a passion for cooking. "Upon discovering a dusty recipe book during your travels, you learn it belongs to Harbhajan—a former aspiring chef whose dreams were put on hold for a more practical life," Bethesda explained. "Returning the recipes reignites a spark, reviving old dreams of becoming a galaxy-renowned chef. But is it too late for a second chance?"
You can review the complete patch notes below. Starfield is currently available for Xbox and PC.
