A man from India, stranded in Saudi Arabia, has finally returned home. Sarella Veerendra Kumar, hailing from Andhra Pradesh, arrived at Hyderabad's international airport on Friday, where his family eagerly awaited him.

Veerendra had sought assistance via a social media video, prompting state minister Nara Lokesh to pledge his rescue. Indian media reports indicate that the Minister instructed the NRI Forum to aid the stranded individual. The Indian Embassy in Riyadh confirmed Veerendra Kumar's safe arrival in India.

In a recent post on X, the Embassy expressed their relief, stating, "We are pleased to announce that he has safely returned home. We extend our gratitude to all community volunteers who collaborated with the Embassy to ensure his safe journey back to India."

Veerendra Kumar revealed that he was deceived by a job agent who had promised him employment in Qatar, only to send him to Saudi Arabia where he was compelled to work as a herder in the desert.
