Students from British curriculum schools in the UAE and Qatar showed great enthusiasm and joy as they received their IGCSE/GCSE results on August 22. GEMS Education reported a remarkable performance in the 2024 summer examinations, with over 3,800 students from 23 schools participating. This year, 14% of the entries from the GEMS network achieved the highest grade of 9 or A*, while 22% scored 9-8 (A*), 40% obtained grades 9-7 (A*-A), 60% scored 9-6 (A*-B), and 83% were graded 9-4 (A*-C). Notably, Jumeirah College Dubai saw 27% of its GCSE entries awarded the top grade 9, with 85% achieving grades 9-6 (A*-B). At GEMS Wellington International School, 26% of entries scored grade 9 or A*, and 81% scored 9-6 (A*-B). GEMS Cambridge International Private School–Sharjah achieved 45% of entries at grades 9-8 (A*). Other notable performances include GEMS Wellington Academy-Silicon Oasis with 60% of entries at grades 9-6 (A*-B), and GEMS FirstPoint School – The Villa and GEMS Metropole School – Motor City with 55% and 56% of entries at grades 9-6 (A*-B), respectively.

Rebecca Coulter, principal at Dubai British School Jumeirah Park, expressed her excitement over the students' exceptional performance, with 46% achieving A* and A grades, and a 100% pass rate across all subjects. Brett Girven, principal at Dubai British School Emirates Hills, praised the students' excellent results in their first public examinations, acknowledging the hard work of the students, parents, and teachers.
