Left-arm spinner Sufiyan Muqeem achieved a career-best performance of 3-20 as Pakistan triumphed over hosts Zimbabwe by 57 runs in the first Twenty20 International held in Bulawayo on Sunday.

Pakistan set a target of 165 for four in their 20 overs after choosing to bat first. Usman Khan contributed 39 runs from 30 balls, and Tayyab Tahir provided a late surge with an unbeaten 39 from 25 deliveries.

Zimbabwe's captain, Sikandar Raza, led the chase with 39 runs from 28 balls, but the team collapsed from 77-2 to 108 all out as the visitors capitalized on the slow wicket.

The second match of the three-game series will take place at the same venue on Tuesday.
