Polish multihull expert Sunreef Yachts has revealed that the hull of the inaugural Sunreef 43M Eco is now finished, marking what is claimed to be "the largest single-shot hull infusion globally". This 42.7-metre vessel is poised to be the world's largest electric catamaran upon delivery. The model was initially unveiled in January 2022 as the latest member of the shipyard's Eco fleet. The sale of the first hull was finalized by Tim Quinlan at Ocean Independence and announced at the Monaco Yacht Show 2022.
The hull, superstructure, and rigging of the yacht incorporate integrated solar panels, providing the vessel with sustainable energy. Additionally, an advanced hydro-generation system generates clean power, enabling emission-free cruising and, as the shipyard claims, "unlimited range". Notable features of the 43M Eco include a spacious "ocean lounge" at the stern, which seamlessly connects the aft deck, swim platform, and fold-down balconies into a unified space for waterside relaxation. This area can be tailored to meet the specific needs of each owner, potentially including a massage room, a bar for serving guests, or a fitness zone. Tenders and recreational equipment can be discreetly stored in the yacht's aft garage.
Another sunbathing option is available on the flybridge, featuring a spa pool, expansive sun pads, a bar, a dining area, and an outdoor cinema. According to BOATPro, Sunreef Yachts currently has an impressive 26 yachts in various stages of order or construction. The shipyard recently showcased the flagship model in its Ultima catamaran range, a 33.8-metre design developed in partnership with Dutch design firm Phathom Studio.
