Polish shipyard Sunreef Yachts has unveiled the flagship model of its Ultima series at this year's Cannes Yachting Festival. Named the Ultima 111, this catamaran is a collaborative design with Dutch firm Phathom Studio and will be constructed at the shipyard's facility in Ras al Khaimah, UAE, which was showcased by BOAT International earlier this year.
"As you scale up, you begin to notice more elongated and horizontal lines," stated Fabian Henke from Phathom Studio during the Sunreef Yachts press conference. "We aimed to maintain the Ultima 111's dynamic character, similar to her sister ships, with bold, forward-leaning diagonals and oversized fashion plates."
Accommodation is spread across three cabins, featuring a full-beam owner's suite with a private terrace and direct access to the foredeck. Unlike previous models where guest cabins were on the lower deck, the Ultima 111's increased size allows for these to be relocated to the main deck, enhancing the view. The hulls are exclusively dedicated to crew, accommodating four cabins including the captain's quarters.
A notable feature is the galley, located in the portside hull, equipped with a dumbwaiter to service the outdoor dining areas on the main and upper decks. On the leisure front, the upper deck lounge boasts a Jacuzzi surrounded by sunpads, with a dining area and lounge seating aft. An openable hardtop provides flexibility for all seasons. The beach club retains the same configuration as previous Ultima models, with unfolding bulwarks and sunbathing options. The aft garage can store a tender and a Waverunner.
Specifications are yet to be finalized, but the Ultima 111 is anticipated to achieve a top speed of 25-26 knots. A hybrid version will also be available. During the conference, Sunreef Yachts also announced the sale of the third unit in its Eco 43M series, designed with an advanced hydro-generation system for "emission-free cruising" and "infinite range."
