Italian shipyard Tankoa Yachts has unveiled a new 52-metre model at this year's Monaco Yacht Show. Dubbed the T520 Fenice, named after the renowned opera house in Venice, the yacht is a follow-up to the T680 Fenice revealed in 2022. Enrico Gobbi – Team for Design has once again taken the helm for the T520 Fenice, drawing inspiration from its larger sibling and the realms of automotive and aeronautical design.
The automotive influence is apparent in the yacht's distinctive stern shape and the grey hull adorned with 'anthracite accents'. A standout feature of the model is its stern area, which includes a series of interconnected spaces arranged on various levels to create a 'striking three-dimensional effect'. This starts with the panoramic cockpit, which overlooks an infinity pool flanked by sunpads, featuring a watercourse that connects it to the beach club below.
The beach club is naturally linked to the swim platform and a lower deck gym, which includes a sauna, interior lounge, and digital sculpture. 'The yacht's design prioritises large and flexible environments, such as the extended flybridge with glass panels, adaptable to various uses based on the owner's preferences,' explained Gobbi. 'These include a sky lounge with aft-opening doors and a generous foredeck area with a forward-facing pool, accessible to all guests and connected to the aft lounge area.'
Accommodation is provided across five cabins, including a VIP cabin behind the bridge and a full-beam owner's suite with a study area, private terrace, and a full-beam en suite offering multiple configurations. The sundeck is a significant communal area featuring sofa seating, sunpads, and a semi-enclosed glass saloon positioned under the mast for dining. Options include a forward spa pool or observation cockpit. Other highlights include the foredeck lounge, a second pool, and an upper deck with al fresco dining and a lounge space.
The forward garage under the foredeck houses a 6.5-metre guest tender alongside the crew tender and watertoys. 'The Fenice T520 is another masterful creation, ideal for discerning owners who appreciate the quiet elegance we offer, allowing us to meet their every need while delivering a yacht of unparalleled quality,' said Giuseppe Mazza, Tankoa’s sales manager.
This announcement comes on the heels of the delivery of Rilassata, the sixth unit in Tankoa Yachts' newly-styled 49.9-metre series. For those attending the Monaco Yacht Show, visit Stand DS103 to meet the BOAT International team.
