A temporary traffic diversion has been announced for Emirates Road (E611) near Al Budaiya Interchange in Sharjah, starting from Tuesday, May 28, to Thursday, May 30. According to the map shared by the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MOEI), the right lane of the service road will be closed for those traveling from Sharjah to Dubai until Thursday, May 30.
The authorities have urged motorists to adhere to the speed limit and follow directional signs. On May 25, the Roads and Transport Authority in Sharjah also announced a reduction in speed limits on two major roads, Al Ittihad and Al Wahda, from 100kmph to 80kmph.
Drivers are required to adhere to the new speed limit as indicated by the updated speed signs. A similar speed reduction exercise was previously implemented in November last year, reducing the speed limit from 100kmph to 80kmph on the stretch between Sharjah and Al Garhoud Bridge.
