The coolest Lego Batmobile, arguably, is now available as of October 1. This isn't a replica of the powerful Tumbler or the West Coast Customs version used by George Clooney, but rather Adam West's crime-fighting vehicle from the 1966 Batman TV series. The 1966 Batmobile is a more intricate build compared to some of the smaller Lego Batmobiles. It consists of 1,822 pieces, and the finished product measures 19 inches in length. You'll need to act fast to order the new $150 Lego Batmobile, as Amazon is already out of stock, and the set is on backorder at the Lego Store. Orders placed now will ship by October 19. This Lego Batmobile, inspired by the original, is a sleek pursuit vehicle packed with bat-gadgets. It features molded windshields, an openable trunk housing the Bat-computer, a rear jet engine, and an informative plaque for display. Naturally, you'll receive a Batman minifigure to place in the driver's seat, which looks just like the Caped Crusader portrayed by the legendary Adam West, complete with painted eyebrows on his cowl. Sadly, there's no Bat-Shark Repellant included in this set. This is also a sizable set, measuring 50cm in length (19 inches) and 18cm (seven inches) wide once completed. The new set isn't the only Batmobile to receive the Lego treatment—far from it. While some Lego Batmobile sets are discontinued, such as the Batcave Shadow Box with a Batmobile, which is retiring soon, several others are still available at major retailers. You can get the Batmobile from Tim Burton's first Batman movie, complete with minifigures of Batman and the Joker, an openable trunk, a cockpit for the minifigure, and two blasters under the hood, at a discount on Amazon. Another budget-friendly option is the recently released Batmobile from Batman: The Animated Series, priced at $60. This compact build includes minifigures of Batman, Mr. Freeze, and Harley Quinn. For the most affordable option, the pocket-sized Batmobile is a fun lunchtime build for just $21.60. On the higher end of Batmobile Lego sets, you can grab the Tumbler from the Dark Knight trilogy. This 2,049-piece build is very cool but significantly more expensive than the upcoming Batmobile—though it's currently on sale for $227 at Amazon (down from $270). Alternatively, for something more budget-friendly, the pocket-sized Batmobile is a fun lunchtime build for just $22.
